What is a direct-chill water cooler?

A direct-chill water cooler is plumbed directly into your mains water supply and chills water on demand.

There are no bottles to change and no stored tanks of chilled water.

Water is filtered before dispensing, improving consistency and hygiene while providing a continuous supply throughout the day.

Capacity is scaled by adding additional units where needed, making the same system suitable for both smaller workplaces and higher-use environments.

Compared to bottled systems, direct-chill coolers reduce manual handling, lower running costs, and are better suited to long-term workplace use.

Yes, water coolers can dispense hot water

Mains-fed water coolers can also dispense hot water, providing a practical alternative to kettles in workplace environments.

Hot water is delivered at a controlled temperature with integrated safety features, reducing the risks associated with boiling kettles and open vessels. Drawing hot water from the same plumbed-in system removes the need for separate appliances or manual refilling.

Configuration is based on usage and environment, with appropriate safety controls specified to suit each location.

Filtered water, done properly

All of our mains-fed water coolers use inline filtration to improve taste, reduce odour, and remove chlorine and particulates from incoming mains water.

Filtration isn’t about turning tap water into something exotic — it’s about consistency. In workplace environments, it helps ensure water tastes the same throughout the day and across different locations, encouraging regular hydration and reducing complaints about taste or smell.

We use compact, commercial inline filtration with integrated scale control, selected based on local water conditions and expected usage rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. This helps protect equipment in hard-water areas while maintaining reliable water quality over time.

Filters are consumable components and are replaced as part of planned servicing, alongside internal sanitation and functional checks. Regular maintenance keeps systems hygienic, reliable, and operating as intended, while avoiding unnecessary breakdowns or reactive call-outs.
